Here's the summary of the responses I got.
1. "option HSFS" should be in the kernel config file
        ( /sys/sun4m/conf/GENERIC )
2. "mount_hsfs" should be in the path ( /usr/etc ).
I checked both for my machine, and it's now working perfectly.
