Hi all,

Original question:

>Is it possible to boot a SPARCstation 1 from a CD: it claims that the available
>boot devices are fd, sd, st and le (ie floppy, hard disk, tape and network)?

An overwhelming response, the answer was of course
>b sd(0,6,2).
Nigel Tuckey (esrdw@csv.warwick.ac.uk) explains further:

The SPARCstation 1 has the 1.x version of the boot PROM. To boot from the CD
it is necessary to issue the following command

> b sd(0,6,2)

or

ok boot sd(0,6,2)

On boot PROMs 2.x onwards (SPARC2's etc.) you would use the following:

> b cdrom

or

ok boot cdrom
