Recently I asked whether a 4/110 could auto-detect whether its
ethernet board was connected to thick or thin net.

Thanks to:

mke@qiclab.scn.rain.com (Mike Miller)
Gary.Cook@Corp.Sun.COM (Gary Cook - ICON IBB Business Mgr)
Eirik Fuller <eirik@elf.Ithaca.NY.US>
sgd@tfm.tfm.com (Stephen Diercouff)

All stated that the machine will auto-detect, and some pointed out
that you can override/force detection with jumper J1800.
