Summary: Possible bad floppy drive

The original question was whether a floppy drive could be serviced
separately from the Sparc IPC in which it resides. The answer is
yes, though I haven't tried taking it out yet: first we're going to
try using fdformat -d instead of formatting diskettes on a PS/2.
I had one suggestion to check that I was using HD rather than DS/DD
floppies, but that isn't the problem here: these are HDs.
I should have clarified one thing in my original message: the
"printer" I referred to was not a machine, but a company that does
the printing of our magazine.
