SUMMARY: Problem with QuickCheck kernel on a Sun4/110 running 4.1.1

The correct answer came from Mike Raffety <miker@il.us.swissbank.com> who said:

My problem turned out to have nothing to do with QuickCheck at all. Somehow
our kernel 'config' line contained 'root on sd1 swap on sd1' but that is not
the boot disk. It has been changed to read 'swap generic' now, which is better.
How the kernel file got changed is, and will probably always remain, a mystery.
