Summary: System crashing in loop

I waited a few of days to make sure my problem is
resolved, and it appears to be so.

Special thanks to David Cecchino, who suggested I check my
OBP firmware version. It was indeed a bit old, and
apparently something in Solaris 10 would crash with the
older firmware.

Thanks also to everyone else that responded.. I am very
happy to have my system back.
