SUMMARY: V880 boot problems

Thanks for your suggestions...

Turns out that the problem is caused by the loop-back fiber card that is
installed in the system.
The same card works in another system, but not in this one! The only way
jumpstart will work is by removing the card all together.

You may find you need to update your jumpstart image. For
example a base level Solaris 02/02 release will fail to boot
a V880-900MHz system. Also, you need all the patches in the
world to get the things to behave properly.

Depending on the exact system you've got I'd be inclined to
used a patched '04 release of Solaris as a startpoint.
