Thx to Johan-DW (ex-collegue, seemingly) who pointed me to the right
starting page, from where I could assemble the relevant instructions for
my configuration (Netscape 7.0 on Solaris-9) :

(See "http://www.mozilla.org/projects/mathml/fonts/")

    * mkdir /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/mathml-fonts
    * TeX's Computer Modern PostScript fonts (cmps)
          o Type1 versions :
               1. get "cmps-unix.tar.gz" from
                  "ftp://ftp.ams.org/pub/tex/psfonts/cm/cmps-unix.tar.gz"
               2. extract :
                  gunzip < cmps-unix.tar.gz | (cd
                  /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/mathml-fonts; tar xf - )
               3. re-make the "PSres.upr" file with
                  cd /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/mathml-fonts/cmpsfont/pfb
                  makepsres
    * Mathematica v4.1 fonts :
         1. download fonts from here
            <http://support.wolfram.com/mathematica/systems/unix/general/MathT1.tar.Z>
            and extract
            uncompress < MathT1.tar.gz | (cd
            /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/mathml-fonts; tar xvf - )
         2. (re-)make the "PSres.upr" file with
            cd /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/mathml-fonts/MathT1
            makepsres
    * check your current font path with
      xset -q
    * and add the new font directories with
      xset +fp /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/mathml-fonts/cmpsfont/pfb
    * then stop and restart your Netscape browser
    * add them system-wide via the script "/usr/dt/config/Xsetup", or
      some file in "/etc/dt/config"
