Thanks to all those that replied.

Special thanks to Kanellopoulos Angelos who came up with a simple
solution.
/usr/openwin/bin/resize
solves all the problems with associated with vi through a console
session.

Thanks all.

Subject: console terminal settings

I'm using a standard cde terminal window set to ddterm to tip into a
console port.

What is the correct way to get things like "vi" screen output corrrcet.

I've tried exporting the console session to vt100, vt220, dtterm,
etc....
Which is the best to use for a floating cde terminal window?

Thanks.
Dan
