SUMMARY: Sol8 - local disk won't mount

Thank you all for the quick responses! fuser showed no open files. The 
disk was not mounted anywhere else. I could successfully mount the drive 
on /mnt. Chad Johnson suggested I remove/remake the mount point which 
worked!
