Thanks to all who replied.

You can't use samba to access pc shares with solaris.
This only works with Linux.

An alternative product is sharity
http://www.obdev.at/products/sharity/

apparently cups can access pc shared printers by using smbspool ( I
haven't got it working yet).

Thanks
Dan

Subject: NTFS access on a Solaris box with samba

Can anyone point me to documentation to setup and use samba to mount
NTFS shares (win2k boxes) and printers on Solaris.

I'm trying to mount NT shares and printers on my Solaris box, I can find
plenty of documentation to do the opposite but information seems to be
scarce on using samba as a client.
For reference, I'm using solaris 9 4/04 on blade 1500.
The NT systems are all Win2k on a domain ( not workgroup ) .
Want to uses NT printers with CUPS.

Thanks
Dan
