ifconfig dmfe1 plumb
Ifconfig dmfe1 up
Ifconfig dmfe1 <Ipaddr> <NetMsk> <Options>

That should work, just use plumb - you're almost there.

I have a Sunfire V100 which has 2 ethernet ports in the back but
currently I
can only see one of them.

If I do an ifconfig -a

lo0: flags=1000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 8232 index 1
        inet netmask ff000000
dmfe0: flags=1004843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,DHCP,IPv4> mtu 1500
index 2
        inet netmask ffffc000 broadcast
        ether 0:3:ba:19:1:1b

if I do a prtconf | grep eth

ethernet, instance #0
ethernet, instance #1

How do I go about getting the system to see the second Ethernet adapter?
I've tried doing an ifconfig dfme up and ifconfig dfme1 up but they both
give me this type of error "ifconfig: SIOCGLIFNETMASK: dfme: no such

Any help is appreciated and summarized.

Thank you,
