Thanks to all the help!
my question was:
Hello all,
I'm on a planning stage of implementing a cisco 3662 router as the console
terminal server for my sun boxes.
While going thru the planning stage, I came across this problem of "terminal
server break" where upon the sun system crashes incase their console cable
are connected and disconnected or if the terminal server's power goes off.
There are a couple of solutions for that one is to install patches on the
systems and the other is to install a "non aborting serial console adapter".
Personally I like the patches cause the adapters cost $89 each. Has any one
implemented a cisco router terminal console server and dealt with terminal
server break problem??
does any one know where i can get these patches? i tried sunsolve but i dont
know their IDs or names so i couldnt find.
Any help would be really useful.

Solution:
For the system running 2.6 and 7 needed patches 105924-10 and 107589-02
repectively. Systems running solaris 8 dont require any patches. After the
patch installation make changes in /etc/default/kbd file or use the kbd
command.
As for the /etc/default/kbd file, I need to reboot the system after I
uncomment the KEYBOARD_ABORT=alternate
line.
Since I have lots of production systems which need scheduling and lots of
headaches to reboot, i guess i can just use the "kbd -a alternate" command
for it to take in effect right away and then make the changes in
/etc/default/kbd file later on when I get chance to reboot the system.

Thanks to all!
