In the end I just rebooted bart, to clear the stale NFS file handle. =
Tried to find the process that was holding the mount point, but failed. =
as for resharing on ned and then remounting on bart, well this didn't =
work for me. And as for stopping nfs client, well the software replies =
totally on nfs, so a reboot is the simpliest and quickest for me.

Don't understand why all my nfs mounts don't have a consistent stale =
file handle, ie it only affected one shared area

Try a shareall on ned; then a mountall on bart.

    Hi all,

Anyone know how to get around this one:

    host ned: shared /xyz
    host bart: mounted /xyz

ned hada system crash and xyz got corrupted, so its share is now set =
up slightly differently, but dfshare show:
    [root@ned]# dfshares
    RESOURCE SERVER ACCESS TRANSPORT
           ned:/build/TGS_1.0_T10 ned - -
           ned:/home2 ned - -
           ned:/export/home ned - -
           ned:/ccase1/vobs ned - -
           ned:/disk3/vobs ned - -
           ned:/disk3/views ned - -
           ned:/disk1 ned - -
           ned:/disk2 ned - -
           ned:/db1/opt_temp/app/oracle/product/8.1.6 ned - =

If I do dfsahres ned on bart then:
    root@bart>#dfshares ned

Can anyone make any sense of this, sorry but besides a reboot, I'm =
lost
