Hi,

I wasnt able to get any answers about how to find the product names from
which a particular package is installed.
But, the main task of my application install did go through without any
problems even in the absence of the specific patches.

Thanks,
Nabeel

Subject: Question on Packages

Hi,

I need to install a product from Sybase, Direct Connect Manager, which in
turn needs some patches to be installed as a prereq.
Now these patches in turn need certain applications to be in place.
All I have in terms of the application names are the names I am getting when
the patch install fails.

Is there a way to be able to find out from the package name which
application it belongs to? So that I can figure out the product name and
then go ahead and purchase it and install.

In my case the situation is:

Patch Description of Needed Application Package Name

105515: SunLink 3270 Open Client SUNWopcl
105860: SNA Logical Unit Type 6.2 SUNWlu62
105937: SunLink 3770 Terminal Emulator SUNW3770
106162: SNA PU2.1 Server SUNWpu21
106164: SNA Gateway Manager SUNWgman
106165: SNA Graphical Management Interface SUNWgmi
106723: LU6.2 & CPI-C API's SUNWappc

So, I want to find out which products do I need to purchase to have the
listed packages on my system.

Thanks,
Nabeel
