Thanks to Casper Dik and Nick Hindley. Takes about an hour to do an 18GB
drive it appears. In this case
the regular format-> select disk -> repair then feed it the bad block # is
sufficient.

Cheers

Hi,

Anyone done a format/repair on and 18GB Seagate? I've got a couple of units
in an A1000 array logging recovered block read errors. Archives suggest the
way to clear the errors is to format the disks and have the bad blocks
revectored. I'd like to get a handle on how long this may take.

TIA
