Summary: Maintenance Updates

Hi,

Here's my original posting :-
--------------------
Where have the maintenance updates gone from sunsolve.sun.com? All i see is
a list of patches (with a checkbox in front of each) to download my own
cluster. Since maintenance update is a cluster of patches tested together
for reliability, i thought they were a safer bet than downloading the entire
cluster.

What i was looking for this :-

http://sunsolve.sun.com/private-cgi/show.pl?target=patches/patch-access

But the new sunsolve interface doesn't seem to have a path to this link. And
you have to login to get access to this page.

Anyway, here are the responses :-

MU's are more than patches, they actually are adding packages that
were not there before, you should still keep up on the patches that is were
many
of the security updates are placed as well as kernel updates and such.. To
see them
though you have to be logged in via the web site, I don't know however if
you need contracts to
access them though.

The above link got me to the MU's for Solaris 7 and 8

Thanks again,
