Consensus says that Sun does not make its own.

Experiences with cd-rom burners:
PlexWriter 12 SCSI drive (Linux box)
YAMAHA CRW4416SX (TATUNG UltraSparc 10 running Solaris 2.6)
Ricoh MP7120A drive
hp 9600 scsi (solaris)
Yamaha burners (SCSI interface)

Note: Option for freeware is to use "cdrecord" or "cdrw". "cdrw" is a Sun
product which is included in Solaris 8 10/00 or higher

David Foster also handed down some scripts if anyone wants.

Subject: Recordable CD-Rom Drive

I am looking into building a bootable jumpstart installation cd-rom. I
would like to know what kind of recordable CD-rom drive out there. Does
Sun make its own? In addition, I would like to know what kind of software
is available to burn the CD-rom and/or just plainly access the recordable
CD-rom. Thanks in advance.
