n a Brand new Ultra 5 running Solaris 7.
Part way through the install of the sudo package, the .lockfile
in /var/sadm/intall got deleted. Now I can't add anymore packages!
I get the following.. when I retry that or any other package.
Using </usr/local> as the package base directory.
## Processing package information.
## Processing system information.
bad entry read from contents file
    - pathname: /var/yp/updaters
    - problem: unknown ftype
pkgadd: ERROR: unable to merge package and system information
Installation of <SMCsudo> failed (internal error).
No changes were made to the system.
Using truss I get the following
 truss -f -t open -t stat pkgadd -d sudo-1.5.9p3-sol7-sparc-local
.....
423: stat("/usr/local/sbin/visudo", 0x00054360) = 0
bad entry read from contents file
    - pathname: /var/yp/updaters
    - problem: unknown ftype
pkgadd: ERROR: unable to merge package and system information
What can I do to fix this??
