Thank you for the answers. I summary the abswer I got:

1. dan@ns1% dmesg| grep 64
SunOS Release 5.7 Version Generic 64-bit [UNIX(R) System V Release 4.0]

dan@yoda% dmesg| grep 32
SunOS Release 5.7 Version Generic 32-bit [UNIX(R) System V Release 4.0]

2. if it is Solaris 2.6 then it must be 32 bits. If solaris 2.7, then
isainfo -kv

64-bit sparcv9 applications
32-bit sparc applications

To find out if your machine can boot into 64 bit mode, enter

        # isalist

If you do not see "sparcv9", you will not be able to boot this
system into 64 bit mode.

and to change the mode:

To change modes, enter the following at the "ok>" prompt:

To set up booting 32-bit mode:
                setenv boot-file kernel/unix

To set up booting 64-bit mode:
                setenv boot-file kernel/sparcv9/unix

We have several SUN server running ORACLE 8.1.6. The SUN servers

plan to
install ORACLE patch to SUN servers. The ORACLE patch

How do I know my platform is 32 bits or NOT?
