am having the following problem
I initialize disks under veritas. After a reboot I loose the disks from
vxvm: vxconfigd: WARNING: Disk disk01 in group rootdg: Disk device not found
vxvm: vxconfigd: WARNING: Disk disk02 in group rootdg: Disk device not found
vxvm: vxconfigd: WARNING: Disk disk03 in group rootdg: Disk device not found
vxvm: vxconfigd: WARNING: Disk disk04 in group rootdg: Disk device not found
I have have added a startup script under /etc/rcS.d to do vxdmpadm start
restore to ensure that DMP is running properly
vxdmpadm listctlr all only shows me one controller ( the on board controller
I have two PCI Jaycore cards attached to EMC via brocade switches.
If I run vxdctl enable once or twice sometimes I can see all my controllers.
I have all the veritas patches and running VM 3.0.4.
I haven;t opened a call with Veritas yet. Let me know if anyone has seen
this situation before and if you can help.
I got few replies from this list- Generally mentioning make sure I do not
have EMC powerpath + Veritas DMP - which was not the case. However- thank
you for replying.
Veritas support was not much help. The case was open from Friday until
yesterday.- They gave us a patch that fixed the DMP issue- That fixed the
problem we were having with not being able to see all my controllers.
We modified a parameter on /kernel/drv/fca-pci.conf
scsi_probe_delay=5000 ( increased from 500 ). This fixed the drives not
