Final Summary: Jumpstart refuses to use custom sysidcfg

Thanks to Matthew Stier and William Hathaway.
Apparently the miniroot was shared rw for a time, thus corrupting the
boot image. After removing and reinstalling all jumpstart software,
things are again
well. Thanks again, guys!
