Hello,

Thanks to the following people for their suggestions:

The right answer was found in the AnswerBook:
"Platform Notes: Ultra 450 Workstation and Ultra Enterprise
450 Server << System Configuration Parameters"
(http://docs.sun.com:80/ab2/coll.28.19/UL450PFNOTES/@Ab2PageView/430?DwebQuery=pci0&Ab2Lang=C&Ab2Enc=iso-8859-1):

It is necessary to alter "pci0-probe-list" in the NVRAM:

'setenv pci0-probe-list 2,4'

Original question:
------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,

My E450 has two scsi controller -- one onboard and additional
PCI Symbios controller. Onboard SCSI controller malfunctions
(scsi timeouts appear after some minutes/hours of work).
When I try to boot from setup cdrom, after bootstrap system
tries to probe disks on first controller (onboard) and hangs.
How can I disable onboard controller ?

SY,
Alexander Bezroutchko
