Thanks to David A Stewart and Jens Fischer for their responses.
Davids answer was correct. Removing patch 105669-09 rectifies the problem.
Running with the lastest patch ie 105669-08, everything works fine.
Jens, may be you could update your bug report call to SUN and mention this patch
problem. Thanks again.
