SUMMARY : problem with boot on e4450

models
of the CPU's if you use the two with 4M cache cpus, the machine will boot
properly."

fine with the two 4M cpu's, then it's the third that's causing the problem.
 You actually seem to have two problems, though (the "IDPROM contents
invalid is usually a sign that your IDPROM/NVRAM chip is going)."

Though I can boot fine with the two $M cpu's ,unfortunately ,the content
of eathernet address and hostid still are wrong. when i execute command of
hostid ,it says error.

can someone offer more detail?
