Thanks to the over 50 people who responded (list much too long to write
here). Thankfully, no flames. :)

Most people who responded suggested turning on POP3 and/or IMAP on the
server, then using any of the standard utilities (fetchmail, netscape,
etc) to collect mail from the server, with the general consensus that IMAP
is better than POP3 for this application.

Most of the rest suggested activating the Exchange WWW server and browsing
through Netscape.

Since I am not the administrator of the Exchange box (thank God), and the
current admin doesn't want to activate other protocols, none of the above
solutions will work for me, but YMMV.

One person suggested getting IE and OE from Microsoft and trying them.
Since the MS page is broken (clicking on the IE 5 for Solaris link causes
a "Permission Denied" HTTP error), that didn't work very well. Eventually
I recieved it, and OE worked well except for:

1) No calandar.

2) There's no way to change the size of the window if you're not running
CDE (I'm running KDE). The close/minimize/maximize boxes just aren't on
the window (typical MS, enforcement of conformity without regard to
personal aesthetics).

Thanks again to all who responded.

Tom
