Dear Managers,

I got around 32 replies. Out of which I am forwarding the most useful
reply.

Thanks to all others who took their precious time to write to me.

[Btw, I got one real arrogant and sarcastic reply too from this mailing
list which I had never experienced in the past 5 years! Never mind!]

Regards,

-Kennedy

Hi !

You need to add the following line to your /etc/system file to use POSIX
enabled chown :

set rstchown 0

After which you will need to do the following for a reconfig reboot :

# touch /reconnfigure
# init 6

This seting will allow you to give ownesrhip to other UID's/GID's ...

regards

Rahul Roy
