Thank you wall for your quick responses. The overwhelming response was no,
with two people pointing me to further investigation. The responses are
summerized below. Thanks go to:

No. If I remember right the RAM is not interchangeable between a
Sparcstation 10 and Sparcstation IPX. The only RAM that I have found to
be compatible between machines is between Sparcstation 10 and Sparcstation
20.

From: Adrian Stovall Nope, the RAM is a totally different type. Any of the SBUS cards or disk drives will make the move nicely, though.

From: Christopher L. Barnard Nope, they take different sized simms. The hard drives from IPXs can go in Sparc 10s, although you'd have to have the SS10 mounting bracket.

From: Kevin P. Inscoe I know that IPX's are regular 72-pin SIMMS and I also know Sparc 20's are different and I suspect Sparc 10 are different as well. But compare them physically. If the SS10's look like 72 pins then it will probably work.

From: Paul Hart Have a look in the archive of old Sun hardware reference material. They've got details about all that old Sun stuff and you should be able to find what you need:
