Thanks for the fast and accurate replies. The best answer came from Kevin
P. Inscoe's web page...http://www.inscoe.org/compilesun . On that web
page he listed the following packages that have to be installed...

SUNWarc
SUNWlibC
SUNWlibm
SUNWscbcp
SUNWhea
SUNWlibCf
SUNWlibms
SUNWtoo

Also recommended was to have these utilities installed as well...

libraries for C++
bintools
flex
bison

ORIGINAL QUESTION:

Hello sun managers, I have a simple question. I want GCC to work on a
workstation running Solaris 7 with an end user installation. What
packages from the CD-ROM do I need to install so GCC will work?

Thanks in advance and I will summarize.
