The major reply was that the cpu has failed, and that I will need to contact Sun
to replace it. Other replys include:

Once the system came back up did you run psrinfo or prtdiag to see if all of
your cpu's were online?

This doesn't tell you much, you need to force a core dump. remove the # from
the savecore line in /etc/rc2.d/S20sysetup, and you will save a coredump the
next time it occurs. Make sure the filesystem that the core is saved in has
free disk space = amount of RAM in your system.
