GOOD INFO FROM GERHEAD
add the following to your crontab
/usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v | egrep "CPU|AMBIENT" | /bin/logger -t
TEMPERATURE
and let it run every N minutes (15, 30, 60 whatever suits your need).
Change /bin/logger to something else to scream murder if the CPU tmeps
exceed threshold.
AMBIENT 17
CPU 1 41
CPU 3 43
CPU 31 OK
In our case, we yell at AMBIENT over 25, and CPU over 50 (celcius)
