[Quasi-summary]Process dies after shell closes

Hmmm, a reboot shows that the process DOES INDEED fire up and stay up on
a reboot. But the shell initiated script (same one), still dies after
closing the window. Oh well, probably a feature.

The sticker on the side of the box said "Supported Platforms: Windows
95, Windows NT 4.0, or better", so clearly Linux was a supported
platform.
