Great responses. Thx!.
My negligence - I didn't mention that I tried using another tape to no
avail and was able to successfully do a remote backup (ufsdump 0uf
remoteserver:/dev/rmt/0 /data). The culprit turns out to be a faulty tape
drive.

conflicts. The user explained that the script was working properly 2 weeks
prior to the errors. No additional s/w has been added. I did notice that
"/" is at 100%. Thanks in advance for you help.
