Summary : Retaining static routes after a reboot

Thanks to all those who replied. Sorry for the delay in posting the summary.
It's that time of the year again.

The original question was

The response is pretty much unanimous.

Put the route add entries in the rc files in a script form.
Every time the system initializes the route add commands will get executed.
