Hello Managers,

here's the summary to the following question:

>I have a rather annoying problem with our Netra i (Sparc5) and
>external SCSI-devices: no matter what I try (boot -r, probe-scsi,
>probe-scsi-all, touch /reconfigure), the machine won't see the
>two external SCSI-devices attached to it ... Just in case it matters,
>the internal bootdrive is SCSI-ID 3, the CD-Rom is on 6 and the
>external devices are on 4 and 5.

A big thankyou goes out to:

Bismark Espinoza <bismark@alta.Jpl.Nasa.Gov>
David S. Foster <foster@bial1.ucsd.edu>

As it turned out, the problem was a faulty SCSI-Connector on the
external case. As soon as we replaced it, everything worked as
expected.

Thanks again for all those speedy responses,
  Roman
