SUMMARY: NIS+ convert to files

Hi guys. My initial question was how to easily convert NIS+ passwd and shadow
files to normal /etc/shadow and /etc/passwd files.

I'm unfortunately using a new mail program, and think I lost a few of the
replies that I received. I do have the correct answer, though:

  The easiest way is to use the following

    nisaddent -d passwd > /tmp/passwd
    nisaddent -d shadow > /tmp/shadow

  Then copy the files over your old ones.
