Original posting:

I have a SPARC20 running under Solaris 2.5.1 that seems to be acting
strangely.

When I try to run ps it responds with "ps: no controlling terminal".
This happens when run as any user, from any network login and from the
console. The same happens if I run /usr/ucb/ps. If I run ps -t <my
current tty> I get the column headers, but no information is reported.

Thanks for help from Andy Gay, Mike Salehi and Karl Vogel but Joel Lee
had the answer with the following:

Do you have the following entry in the /etc/vfstab ?

/proc - /proc proc - no -
