Orginal question:

Sun Managers,
   I have just purchased 2 SS/1000 system boards and 4 SM51
Supersparc cpu's for my Sparc 1000. The hardware is supposed to be
Sun original. Is there an independent way I can verify that beyond taking
the vendors word? Does Sun stamp their name their system boards? On
the cpus there is a "Sun sticker". The micro processor and cache
controller are manufactured by Texas Instruments.

Thank you for the quick answers:

There is a sticker with bar code and a part number/serial number on it.
The part number is a 501 followed by 4 digits. The following digits are the
serial number.
TI and Ross/Fujitsu are Sun's primary cpu fabricators.

Thanks to;

PS, The vendor was Solar Systems in Preston WA 800-253-5764
I've been happy with the service and prices.
