(sorry if I've left anyone off)

No real fix here. Most common comment was that it was a strange problem.
Apparently, Suns will set the mac address of every interface to the
primary, to simplofy routing. The solution was to disable the card, and do
the same thing through software (create a file called /etc/hme0:1 which
contains the hostname
of the second machine. Also create an/etc/hosts entry for the second machine.)
