I must conclude that two of you are right:
It looks like your dump file is corrupt. Sorry, bad luck.
I havn't made the dump myself and therefore don't know why it isn't
good.
Other suggestions are:
- How about trying ufsrestore tf ufsdump.4.c0t2d0s7 just to see if
there's anything in that file in the first place
There was.
- ufsrestore ifs 1 ufsdump.4.c0t2d0s7 to skip?
If so, did you try skipping the the first file on the tape, i.e.,
ufsrestore isf 1 <dumpfile_name>? This was what I did to get around
this problem on my system, although I was using dump/restore.
It didn't do any difference
