1. use gcore(1) to coredump a running process.
2. noone seems to have a running undump on Solaris 2.X.
3. (perl-specific)
   a) Use the GNU emacs unexec() feature;
      see perl FAQ, e.g.
   b) An alpha version of a perl compiler exists,
