SUMMARY: CDE-problem

Well.. the list didn't help this time.. but I figure I
may as well help the list. My problems with CDE and
dtfile not working were the result of using fully
qualified hostnames. The quick fix was to make sure
that the hostname, not fully qualified, was resolvable.

ie. I added it to the /etc/hosts file.

This is know as bug ID 1214252. And is supposed to be fixed
in CDE 1.1 that will be out in December. I went through all
the Sun service channels.. and the best they could do for
me was to give me a bug ID....

Thanks to djve@deakin.edu.au David Evans for his suggestions
on where to look for more info.
