Thanks to all for helping me with this problem:

Trevor Paquette - uunet!aec.ca!TrevorPaquette
Steve Butterfield - uunet!pcs.co.uk!steveb
Claus Assmann - uunet!informatik.uni-kiel.de!ca
Alan Hill - uunet!lanser.net!ahill
Pete A. Zaitcev - uunet!lab.sun.mcst.ru!zaitcev

Hope I didn't miss anyone...

The original problem was:

We have a customer with a Sun SPARC running SunOS 4.1.3.

After booting the machine, the following message starts showing up in
the console window and contiinually repeats:

rsa6135 - inet() FTP/TCP Server Failing (looping) - service terminated

Solution:

All the suggestions led us to the answer - a particular client on the
network was set up to continually ftp files to this system. Someone had
changed the password for the account that the machine was trying to ftp
to so it kept re-trying to send at a very high rate which caused the
error message. After changing the password on the remote machine so it
could properly establish an ftp session, the issue went away.

Thanks again for all the help...
