Summary: setting up anonymous ftp

Hello,
Well, a co-worker determined that the command I need is mknod.
That worked for me. Thanks.

   Here is my original question:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
We are trying to set up an anonymous ftp server on a solaris 2.4
sparc 5. It seems to work fine, except for certain commands, such as
ls:

331 Guest login ok, send your complete e-mail address as password.
Password:
230 Guest login ok, access restrictions apply.
ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful.
425 Can't create data socket (0.0.0.0,20): Bad file number.

A faq says that there is likely a problem in the ftp.01/dev directory.
Sure enough, there were no files in this directory. I believe I need the
following special character files:

tcp
udp
ticotsord
zero

These files exist in the /dev directory (linked to /devices), but not in
./ftp.01/dev. My question is, how can I copy them or create them in the
correct location?

I have tried copying them using cp, to no avail. I also tried creating
links using ln -s, but I don't think anonymous ftp would allow access
to the linked directory, as it is further down the tree of directories.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
