My original problem is :

We just purchase a new workstation, and configure to SunOS 4.1.4.
I found a strange problem. When I run mailtool under this machine,
it will crash if I set maillog.
If anyone have any info, would you please let me know?

Install a patch 100544-09 solve this problem..
