My original question is below. Essentially I needed details of fax server
software for Solaris 2.x which would function through a firewall. Three
products were the most popular. These are:
Hylafax - part of the Gnu suite of programs - get it from your favourite Gnu
site or direct from http://www.vix.com/hylafax.
Faximum (commercial product, but they have a 30 day test version you can
download - if you trust the binary ;-) ) available at
http://www.faximum.com/products.html
Isofax (again a commercial product) available from the Bristol Group -
http://www.bg.com/
The most popular seemed to be Hylafax - probably because it is widely
available under Gnu distribution. Since Hylafax provides an email to fax
gateway (which means I can get the inner mail server to shunt messages out
to a fax server running on the outer screened subnet) I have decided to give
it a go before considering a commercial product.

Hi Guys
I need some help on getting hold of a fax server for Sparc Solaris which
will allow uses inside a screened subnet firewall to send faxes to the
outside world.
Scenario

Punters want to send faxes from the desktop to a central fax server. For
obvious reasons I want to place this server on the red net. Does anyone know
of any software (PD or commercial) which I could take a look at?
