Summary: ld.so: open error 2 for /libc.so.1.9

From: Zhiyi Huang (zh@nature.bellcore.com)
Date: Mon Jun 03 1996 - 14:45:44 CDT

Error 2 means no such file or directory.

The answers are:

1) Don't use 'ls' under /usr/lib as root, you can use "ls /usr/lib" under
elsewhere;

2) Get a copy of libc.so.1.9 from another machine with same OS and ARCH, and
run "ldconfig" to rebuild ld.so run-time lib cache;

3) make sure libc.so.1.9 is exist and with mode 755;

4) Another way to list files is use "echo *";

5) Makesure you have LD_LIBRARY_PATH setup correctly.
