SUMMARY Problem with syslog on Solaris2.5

I am sorry about this but the problem would have been solved if I had
RTFM more carefully. The problem is caused by space characters in the
line. The only allowd character should be TABs. The answer of Casper Dik
says it all.

===============================================================================
There are several errors here.

First of all, the spaces you used should have been TABS.

Secondly, it's always an error to list the same facility twice.
A log entry of "local0.debug" wil cause everything of severity
debug *and above* to be logged.

The proper line is (again, TABS, not spaces)

local0.debug /usr/spool/mqueue/POPlog

And you also must create logfile beforehand.
