>I've seen some problems like this on 3 or 4 occasions with Veritas VM mostly
>with SSAs. The crashes were typical. In EVERY case, there was some step that
>was missed during installation. I'll outline some important steps below. If
>they are not down, the reco from my colleagues at Sun has been to re-install
>the system afresh, i.e., start over with the OS (you'll want to do some data
>ups, but don't restore full filesystems, do directory restores). I know that
>this is painful, but if you want to get it right, you've got to start w/ a
>solid foundation. Anything else is a hack.
>1st Solaris 2.4. You MUST, MUST, MUST install the manditory patches that

>2nd Follow the Veritas VM instructions TO THE LETTER. Order is important.
> There are patches that need installed w/ Veritas & you must install
> them in the correct order. This is very important with the SSAs.
>3rd If you're running Sybase, you need to be sure that you get a two patches
> 102020 & I can't remember the other. You should consult the Sybase

>>- Anybody running any configuration with ODS4.0 had problems?
