Recently, I asked:

> Hi,
> I would like to create corporate wide mail aliases for my company, like
>,, etc ... but I would like to restrict
> what users can use them. I don't want just anyone to be able to send mail
> to, for example.
> I thought about writing a script and executing it in the aliases file, but what
> is not clear to me is how I can parse out the sender to determine if its ok
> for him to use the alias, and the actual message.
> Can anyone give me any ideas on How to do this ??
> Thanks !!

Well I got a few responses back, and some "me too's" as well.

What I gathered from the responses is that I should persue MajorDomo and

Majordomo is available, according to the O'Reilly sendmail book at in the file /pub/majordomo.tar.Z. ListProcessor is available
at in the directory /pub/listserv.

Thanks !!
